Savannah ownership is an investment, and nutrition is one of the most important places to protect that investment. Diet impacts coat quality, digestion, energy stability, and long-term health. In our program, you should be comfortable feeding a high-quality diet such as Acana or comparable premium food, and/or properly balanced raw.
Raw can be a great option when it is balanced properly and handled safely. If you are new to raw, you do not need to panic or rush. The most important thing is doing it correctly, not doing it fast. If you want to feed raw, speak with your veterinarian and use reputable resources. Avoid random internet recipes.
A sudden change can upset digestion. A slow transition usually looks like this: introduce small amounts, gradually increase over 7 to 14 days, and monitor stool, appetite, and hydration.
