How to verify a Savannah breeder
- •Ask for a video call with the kittens and the parents in the same room, live, not a recording. A real breeder is glad to.
- •Ask for the cattery's TICA registration and the parents' registered names, then check them with TICA directly.
- •Ask for health testing results by name (DNA panel, echocardiogram, bloodwork) and expect to see the actual reports.
- •Search the kitten photos in reverse. Scammers steal photos from real catteries and social media.
- •Expect an application and real questions about your home. A breeder who will ship a kitten to anyone with a card is a warning sign.
- •Expect a written contract with a health guarantee before any money changes hands.
- •Prices far below the market, pressure to pay today, and a story about a kitten stuck at an airport needing “insurance” or “a special crate” are classic scams.
How Sahara Savannahs never works
- •We never ask for payment by gift card, cryptocurrency, wire to an individual, or any app under a name that is not ours.
- •We never ask for money before you have applied and been approved, and we never pressure you with a deadline.
- •We never sell a kitten without a written contract, and we never ship a kitten to someone we have not spoken with.
- •We never list kittens on classifieds sites or marketplaces. If you see our photos there, it is not us.
