Every one of our breeding cats is DNA screened with a Basepaws panel, which looks for the genetic conditions known in cats. A clear result means the cat does not carry the marker for that condition. A carrier result means the cat carries one copy and will never be affected itself; we pair carriers only with clear cats so no kitten can inherit two copies. An at risk result means two copies, and none of our cats has one.
Echocardiograms (a heart ultrasound, the standard screen for HCM) and comprehensive bloodwork are in progress and will be posted here as they are completed. We do not publish breed percentages from DNA reports; they are not a health measure.
